Do not miss a visit to the historic Trevarno Estate where you can explore the magnificent gardens, grounds and Woodland walks which date back to 1246.
Events are organised (please check tickets not always valid on special event days) throughout the year at Trevarno. Enjoy the abundant wildlife, follow the progress of major restoration projects and visit the remarkable National Museum of Gardening. Learn about Trevarno's unique handmade organic skincare and soap products and don't forget the fascinating vintage Soap Museum, Honey Bee Information Centre and nostalgic vintage Toy Museum (small additional charge).
Be sure to leave time for homemade refreshments in the sub tropical fountain Garden Conservatory and a visit to the Plant Sales area and shop with a unique range of Trevarno gifts.
Trevarno Garden's The Jewel in the crown, at the heart of the estate, 70 acres of enchanting gardens and grounds featuring one of Cornwall's largest and most diverse plant collections set within magnificent formal, informal and woodland areas. The gardens include numerous specimen shrubs and trees, a stunning bluebell valley, ornamental lake with picturesque Victorian Boathouse and formal cascade, Sunken Italian Garden, Serpentine Yew Tunnel, extensive Pinetum, Bamboo collection, atmospheric Rockery and Grotto, the Great Lawn and Summer Terrace and many other interesting features you can get lost in.
National Museum of Gardening - A remarkable celebration of Britain's great gardening heritage featuring the Country's largest and most comprehensive collection of gardening antiques, memorabilia and ephemera, creatively displayed in ten themed areas. "It alone is worth a long journey to see", RHS Garden Finder 2004-2005. Skincare Trevarno is a working estate and one of its most interesting and rewarding projects Herbal Workshop which was the first in the UK to be granted formal certification by the Organic Farmers and Growers Association. Our handmade soaps and skincare products are produced using the purest plant oils and materials available.
Restoration has been ongoing at Trevarno for the past eight years and current projects include the Walled Garden, Gothic Potting Shed or Bothy attached to the bottom Walled Garden and a recently uncovered ancient carriage driveway.
Families A recent addition, is our playground equipment which should keep your the children amused, while you enjoy the beautiful natural surroundings the play area is set in. Parents of smaller children are able to access the vast majority of the gardens with a pram or buggy by using the open access routes.
