Canoeing from Lerryn Creek this trip takes you through Wind in the Willows creek and out into the mighty Fowey Estuary before heading towards the harbour village of Golant and then turning upriver into wilder sections of water near St Winnow.

These are good trips for spotting wildlife in some of the hidden creeks en route. On the 3 hr trips you usually stop for a quick break somewhere special to give your arms a brief rest before heading back to Lerryn on a circular loop through the estuary. 3 hr paddles are perfect introductions to River Fowey kayaking for those with water confidence and reasonable fitness levels.

Trips are undertaken in stable open cockpit double kayaks. For those with reasonable kayaking experience the operators have a small fleet of less stable but comfortable single kayaks which you can request on booking.
The actual start and finish points of trips may be altered due to tide and wind factors but as ever, the operator will ensure you are transported back to your car / accommodation at the end of your trip.

When choosing your trip, to ensure your enjoyment, please do not over estimate your experience / fitness levels. If your a bit nervous of canoeing, have young children or are not particularly fit, choose an evening paddle or a Kayaking Taster Trip. The 3 Hour and Half Day Kayaking River Trips suit anyone water confident, with good fitness levels and for all day trips you must have previous kayaking experience. If you are not sure just ask.

Restrictions:
* Canoeing is safe, easy and fun and you are very unlikely to fall in!
Non swimmers are very welcome to join our trips and you will be very safe as you will be wearing our buoyancy aids and have our safety boat travelling with you. However we do limit the number of non swimmers on any particular trip so if you are not able to swim 25m please just advise us of this when booking.
* Under 18's need to be accompanied by their parent(s) or guardian.
* Minimum age is 3 years old 
* Children from the age of 3 and up to 13 will need to use double kayaks/canoes with their parent/guardian.
